I have been married to my best friend, Ben, for 28 years and together we have 9 awesome kids!  We had 2 boys the old-fashioned way, they are 26 and 22. Then along came our first princess through domestic adoption and she is 19. Then came another son who is now 16, also through domestic adoption. Add in our surprise arrival through foster-to-adopt...he's 15. Then our 13th wedding anniversary gift, another daughter who is now 25, and another son who is now 22. We still heard God speaking to our hearts about a sweet girl, and she joined our family at the age of 5...and is now 19. Enter our "medical impossibility" and greatest surprise from God ever, the last homegrown Johnston, a little girl born who is now 11. That makes it a total of 9 blessings! We are a fun-loving, outgoing, noisy bunch who have more hobbies than our garage has room for. We love our Lord and Creator, and seek to find Him in all things.

At our house we use homeopathy to address everything!  At first, when I was a patient starting down this path, I would say "I think there is a remedy for that" and they would all roll their eyes.  One of my biggest skeptics was our oldest son, Braeden.  He watched my Hashimoto's reverse in three months as a patient myself, yet he was still not convinced.  Christmas Eve he came down with a stomach virus of some kind.  I asked him to describe his symptoms as he lay on the floor in front of the toilet.  He was irritated but desperate for help, so he answered.  All of his symptoms were a match for a remedy called, Nux Vomica.  I gave him a dose of two pills under his tongue and within ten minutes he was out from bathroom, never needing the toilet.  Christmas Eve was restored for him and the rest of the family!  Now my kids love that mom has a remedy to help all the strange ailments that they bring to me and they know that remedies work fast and fully address whatever the issue is.  We haven't needed Tylenol, Ibuprofen, antibiotics, Immodium, Neosporin, Hydrocortisone Cream, Benadryl, Zyrtec, Albuterol, NP Thyroid or Armour, etc. for almost five years.  In fact, three of our kids haven't ever had an antibiotic.  Three kids haven't since they became ours.  Two haven't had one since our first year in Texas 11 years ago, and that was before I had even heard of Homeopathy. 

 

Here bumps and bruises get a dose of Arnica with some Arnica gel to relieve the pain, and swelling. Bruises don't do the whole black, blue, green, yellow phase because Arnica works quickly.  Someone feels like they are coming down with a cold? A dose of the cell salt Ferrum Phosphoricum gets them right back on track.  Stomach flu going around? I've got a few great remedies for that depending on individual symptoms. Diarrhea? Yep, no problem.  Pulled muscle or sprained ankle? Fear of the dark? Can't focus in school? Headaches and migraines? Tick bite? Bee sting? Bed-wetting? PMS and cramps? Ok, no problem, get the remedy kit!
